Tea Aroma Expert
Come along on a journey for the senses—start on our brand-new certification, inspired by innovative research done on the aromas produced in tea leaves as they are grown and processed. WTA is launching two new classes to complete this new advanced level track. The goal of the curriculum is to help you become a better taster, a more successful purchaser of tea, and a more skilled blend developer. It is designed to ensure that each class contributes to the training that you need to experience, identify, and enjoy the aromas naturally found in tea, and to understand why teas are similar to each other and yet very different.
The newly added classes will bring a fresh dimension to your tea experience and knowledge by offering you samples of the actual aromas found in teas, and practice in identifying them in brewed teas. At the same time, you will learn how growth conditions and processing create these aromas in the leaf and in your cup. Once you have completed this curriculum, you will have a deeper understanding and appreciation of the pleasures of tea, and the tools to bring that appreciation to others.
Each of these advanced classes have been written by highly-regarded tea industry specialists and professionals who have generously shared their knowledge and expertise through these classes.
